Although Jodie ( Advanced Aesthetic Nurse Prescriber of The Grove Skin Clinic, Swansea) has carried out a number of the PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) procedure over the past few years, the media has got everyone talking about it recently due to reality TV star Ferne McCann but not known as PRP, as The Vampire Facial.
To Jodie, this procedure is not new, but with so many of us looking for the next solution to our anti-ageing issues and the popularity of reality TV stars it has sparked interest in the ‘bloody’ treatment.
Ferne McCann took to Instagram to post ‘after’ photos of her Vampire Facial which went viral! The photos not only had the public talking but also the professionals in the industry too! The photos of Ferne (and Kim Kardashian) show a bloody face, however this is not from the PRP itself as this is a yellow/clear colour (Jodie describes is as a same colour as wee!) but is actually from an additional procedure called ‘Micro-needling‘ which is used to stimulate the body’s own collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, skin laxity and scarring such as that caused by acne or chicken pox
With an influx of enquiries for this now, popular procedure, we wanted to document it with our own photos and videos!
Introducing Jenna Kelly (Make-up Artist) – Swansea’s answer to Kim Kardashian
Like Kim Kardashian, Jenna is always eager to try out new ways to keep her skin looking youthful. Although only aged 25, Jenna informed us of how since she was a teenager she has always suffered with her skin and works hard to keep it in good condition. Back in December 2015 Jenna invested in another popular treatment with the celebs – iSclinical Fire & Ice Red Carpet Facial.
See how Jenna’s Vampire Facial went on her recent visit to The Grove Skin Clinic, Swansea!
