PRP Hair Loss Treatment, Swansea

Hair loss Treatments, Swansea.

We offer two types of treatment for the increasing demand for hair loss solutions. These are PRP and micro needling.

What is PRP (Platelet rich plasma)?

Platelet Rich Plasma  has a protracted history of being applied in dentistry, reconstructive surgery and orthopedic medicine. Today, it is also being used in other branches of medicine including dermatology, cosmetic facial rejuvenation, hair loss and skin wound healing. Scientific studies ever since have proven that PRP generates new collagen when infused into the skin and recent studies reveal that PRP can ease sun damage as well as aging skin problems and hair loss..

Areas that can be treated:

  • Hairloss
  • skin tone and texture
  • fine lines and sagging skin around your eyes, neck, around the mouth
  • General rejuvenation
  • puffiness and dark circles below your eyes

What Does the Treatment Involve?

PRP is basically a natural product produced from your own body. Through a simple blood sample, a little amount of blood is drawn from an individual into a sterile tube. Using a unique centrifuge machine, the blood is spun down in order to take out and concentrate the stem cells, growth factors and platelets that are very important for tissue healing and hair growth stimulation. This little amount of blood with a high concentration of platelets and growth factors is referred to as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).

What Are the Risks?

There is no risk of reaction as it is using your own blood, bruising and swelling are the only possible side effects.

How Much Does it Cost?

£350 per treatment or £600 for 2 and £850 for 3.

What is Micro Needling?

Indications

  • Hair loss
  • wrinkles
  • photoaging
  • open pores
  • pigmentation
  • cellulite
  • flaccidity (firmness)

How does it work ?

The very fine nano needles create micro channels in the skin, which has two effects the first allowing for deep product penetration getting the high quality ingredients used during treatment to the parts of the skin that need it in order to make changes and improvements in the skin. The second effect being collagen production and growth factor stimulation.

The needles also create controlled damage which triggers the healing process thus starting  the process of colagenisis, and growth factor production to stimulate hair growth.

How long  does it take?

We allow 45-60 minutes for the treatment

What will the area look like after ?

You will be a little pink after the treatment, and sore. Some people more than others depending on your skin type. This will calm down over a couple of hours and by the morning most people have no pinkness at all.

Cost of treatment:

  • £220 if needling is on its own
  • £100 if added to PRP
