What is the HydraFacial?
HydraFacial is referred to as ‘the ultimate skin detoxifying and deep cleansing experience’ and will be available at The Grove Skin Clinic Swansea from July 2019. This painfree “Ultimate Facial” treatment replaces separate lymphatic drainage, microdermabrasion, peels, extraction, infusion, hydration and light emitting diode treatments and combines cleansing, exfoliation, detoxification, extraction, hydration and protection to leave your skin feeling refreshed and youthful. It is non-irritating making it safe for even sensitive skin and a cost effective way to treat all skin types of any age.
Dead skin and impurities are removed as the area is bathed in cleansing, hydrating and moisturising serums. How is the HydraFacial carried out?
The HydraFacial is a unique 6-step process using vortex technology
Step 1: Detox – increases the lymphatic circulation in the skin
Step 2: Cleanse & Exfoliate – Dead skin cells are removed with the vacuum based tip whilst delivering serum to the skin
Step 3: Brightening Agent/Peel – A glycolic and salicylic solutions is applied to the skin to de-congest the pores – brightening the skin and prepping the skin for the extraction step
Step 4: Extraction – this is unique to the HydraFacial! A gentle extraction process using salicylic acid and honey to draw out blackheads and impurities in the skin.
Step 5: Hydration – the skin is drenched in moisture with a mix of hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, and peptides and multi-peptides to support collagen stimulation
Step 6: Rejuvenation – the final step is a red and infrared LED light applied to the skin. Soothing the skin and reducing redness
Is the HydraFacial treatment painful?
No. The treatment is non-invasive and the skin is not punctured in any way. The vortex tool used during the treatment feels like a mini-vacuum and you will feel a gentle suction on your face. During step 3 you may experience a slight tingling as we apply the glycolic and salicylic solutions.
