Light Therapy Introduction

This multi-layered energy system accelerates recovery by providing the cells energy to heal from within the body. Blue light eliminates acne-causing bacteria to treat mild to moderate acne. Blue and red light treats mild to moderate forms of acne while fading mild acne scarring. Red light minimises fine lines and wrinkles, heals wounds and keeps skin plump. 
 
This gentle method gives a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as an overall improvement in skin health, perfect for even the most sensitive skin types and conditions.

Celluma® Treatment Process

After an optional consultation, the Celluma® procedure is incredibly comfortable and easy, as follows. 
 
Once met by one of our skin specialists at reception you will be taken to one of our clinical rooms, where your skin concerns and treatment expectations will be discussed. Now it’s time to rest back and relax, using goggles for comfort the LED arch is placed over the area for a specific time.  
 
The perfect relaxing light therapy session, on its own or can be added to any other procedure for better results.

How Does Light Therapy Work? 

Celluma® wavelengths the blue and red light, gives off mild heat. The skin recognises as thermal damage where blood is sent to topical layers of the skin carrying nutrients stimulating a collagen production reducing skin concerns.

Is The Celluma® Treatment Painful? 

No.  The treatment is non-invasive, mild heat can be felt on the skin for sensitive skin but most patients do not feel anything.

Are There Any Side Effects? 
Celluma® side effects are minimal and rare.  It is safe for all ages and all kinds of skin, and we have achieved great results with our patients who choose this treatment because of its gentle technique and optimal results. Patients with a history of irregular skin healing or anyone who has taken selected prescribed light sensitive medications within the last three months are not suitable for treatment (this will be discussed with your practitioner).

How Many Celluma® Treatments Will I Need To See Results? 
We recommend a course of 4 sessions to start, for chronic skin conditions several courses will be needed, and we always recommend a consultation at The Grove Skin and Laser Clinic in Swansea for a specialist skin plan to achieve the best results on your skin journey.
Celluma® can be used for regular maintenance to achieve great skin health for life.

What Is The Cost Of Celluma® Light Therapy? 

£65 for single sessions. Course of 4 £200. Added onto any procedure £25. Payment plans and finance are available for this treatment.  Please speak to one of our team.
