Conditions Treated with Chemical Peels
Peels can help with the following skin conditions:
- Acne: a skin condition that occurs when the hair follicles become blocked with oil and dead skin cells causing blackheads and whiteheads.
- Acne scarring: Trauma from having acne, resulting in pigmentation and pitted marks.
- Freckles: a cluster of cells which have produced more melanin. They’re prominent on people with fair skin and most common in children. They’re caused by exposure to the sun.
- Post-inflammatory marks: any dark mark that is left on the skin after a burn, spot, cut or other injury has healed due to the trauma the skin has endured. Acne scars also come under this category.
- Rosacea and sensitive skin: Inflamed skin condition that causes a rash, redness, pimples, and visible blood vessels, usually on the face.
- Skin dullness: Grey dull looking skin, peels helps brighten lackluster skin.
- Sun spots/age spots: a result of exposure to the sun over a long period of time.
Chemical Peels Treatment Process
Consultation needed with our experienced skin practioners, to introduce you to the the world of peels. We use our skin analysis photo machine to assess the quality of skin. The partitioner will select a chemical peel protocol for your concerns.
Further photos will be taken same day as consultation to document your baseline.
A selective skin preparation kit will be mandatory to all patients and explained during consultation. This needs to be used for 2 weeks before any chemical peel.
Second appointment – Two/four weeks after consultation and the mandatory use of the skin prep kit, we can perform the first peel from the chosen chemical peel journey.
The peel journey continues depending on selected chemical treatment plan. Each session a small review time is given for you to feedback to the practioner about your experience between last session. This is feedback guides the full treatment journey.
At Home – The results continue further at home by using skincare.
